The First Album – 3.33AM
The music that Amber creates aims to touch the emotional parts of the listener. She tells stories and draws out the deepest feelings of grief from inside her and leaves herself bare to the audience. 3.33AM was her first album which she made to honor the life of her German mother. Right from small, Amber spent most of her time with her mother traveling to several countries around the world. However, a few years before the launch of her career, Amber’s mother was in hospice and soon passed away. When she took care of her mother in the hospital, Amber was given so many pamphlets that taught her about the seven stages of grief, which is the main focus of her first album.
3.33 AM is a tribute to all the pain and sadness that she underwent when she lost her mother and had much meaning behind it. Her music forms a pattern and speaks to the people who are going through similar experiences. She describes her music the same as watching a dramatic movie when you know that the sadness is evident, but there is always hope. The feelings of loss and faith in the darkness are what she has always aimed for in her music and achieved. Fans have found that they have been able to relate to her music in a deep sense and see the drama completely loveable.
Amber Mark is all about singing out her life lessons. Everything she has learned and that she goes through, she believes that there is someone somewhere who is going through the same. She does not want to make music for the commercial aspect of it, but for the emotional freedom, it gives her and the people who relate to her music. Sadly, not many producers were able to appreciate the real sense of her music and wanted to the commercial aspect that could earn them money. Amber, on the other hand, was determined to do things her way and believed that the experiences are what she would aim at touching. She began songwriting and producing the music and right enough, people loved it, and the producers who turned her down would forever be known as the ones who turned down a star.
